Rapid changes in health care are challenging us to change the way we educate our health care providers. In this session MD/ PhD students and budding innovators Ryan Haynes and Chris Giardina will highlight breakthroughs in medical education as well as what our next generation of clinical providers are coming up with to add to the field.

Chris is a 4th year MD/PhD student at UNC –Chapel Hill. His biomedical engineering PhD research is focused on cochlear implant technologies and improving speech outcomes. Previously he worked at Advanced Bionics Corporation as a product engineer designing cochlear implant audiometric tools.
